The comprehensive package of all 11 modules is perfect for professional guardians or persons interested in becoming professional guardians. The JBCC has approved 16.5 guardianship CEUs for the comprehensive package. Smaller packages are designed specifically for family guardians, court staff, social workers, geriatric care managers, disability advocates, and more.

  • Comprehensive Guardianship for Texas
  • Fee: $220.00

    This is a comprehensive course for professional guardians in Texas. Included are a whole discussion of guardianship in Texas, with a historical overview and the basic foundations of Guardianship, a discussion of alternatives to guardianship, the legal mechanics of establishing, modifying, and terminating a guardianship, the duties of the Guardian of the Person, and Guardian of the Estate, decision-making techniques to ensure the best quality of life for the person with a guardian, unique problems facing guardians in today’s world, and a summary of best practices. Also included is a discussion of Guardianship Certification in Texas with a detailed look at the Texas Estates Code, the JBCC's Standards and Rules of Guardianship Certification, and the Code of Ethics for Certified Guardians. (All 11 courses are included. 16.5 CEU credit hours approved by the JBCC, including 12 ethics.)
