The Senior College at Bridgewater State University welcomes ideas for new courses, workshops, events and lectures. The only credential you need to teach for us is your passion and expertise for teaching older adults.
Please familiarize yourself with Senior College first by reviewing our course catalog so that you can have a sense of our program. Instructors are paid a modest stipend.
Our courses generally are:
To submit a proposal please email the following four items to SeniorCollegeCourses@bridgew.edu

Course title and description of your course (description should be less than 120 words), please be creative and written in paragraph format.

A short personal biography about yourself (less than 80 words). Please refer to our current catalog to see examples of course titles, descriptions, and bios. Keep our audience in mind! Older adults in their 60s, 70, 80s, and even 90s!

Your schedule including the specific dates and times that you are available to offer your course (and any additional availability that you have) we do our best to accommodate your availability when possible. Zoom courses can be really at any time between 9am and 7pm (Monday through Saturday).

Your preference for teaching online or in-person, or hybrid. Hybrid courses may take place on Zoom but then include a “field trip” or a “meet up” of your choosing. Let me know your ideas!
