Did you know that singing has been known to reduce stress, boost your immune system, and improve your mood? Couldn’t we all use those benefits? If you have always wanted to learn how to sing but have never had the opportunity to do so, this is the class for you. Join people who have the same love for singing that you do in the comfort of your own home. You’ll learn the essential tools of vocal technique (breathing, support, focus) in a supportive group setting so you can understand how to sing your favorite songs with ease. You’ll learn some songs with the group that will teach you how to apply the technique and we will spend several weeks exploring the singing styles of the repertoire of Classic Broadway, the Great American Songbook and Pop/Rock from the 70s, 80s and 90s. You’ll have a chance to sing for the class every week!
Students should have a fast internet connection (wired is better than wireless if possible but not a necessity), a reliable computer or tablet with webcam, and an additional device (such as a smart phone or tablet) on which to play song accompaniments.
