French 1: Beginner is designed for true beginners — no prior French required. Each week combines spoken practice with the grammar, vocabulary, and writing skills you need to build a real foundation in the language, not just a few memorized phrases.
Using Alter Ego+ A1, a leading French-language method built for adult learners, the course follows a clear, structured progression while staying lively and conversational. By the end, students can introduce themselves, handle everyday situations (shopping, directions, routines), and read and write simple French with confidence.
PLEASE NOTE: Students will need to purchase the following books; however, we recommend waiting until the first class before making any purchases.

French 2: Beginner Continued is for students who already have some French — whether from a prior course, travel, or family exposure — and are ready to move beyond basic phrases into real conversation. Each week builds greater fluency, broader vocabulary, and a stronger grasp of grammar, while continuing to develop reading and writing alongside speaking.
Using Alter Ego+ A2, the course picks up where beginner French leaves off and pushes toward more natural, independent use of the language: discussing opinions, telling stories, navigating daily life with confidence, and writing with greater accuracy.
PLEASE NOTE: Students will need to purchase the following books; however, we recommend waiting until the first class before making any purchases.
