If you have always wanted to learn to sing but have never had the opportunity to do so, this is the class for you. Join people who have the same love for singing that you do. Singing both in a group setting and with some individualized instruction, we will also spend several weeks exploring the singing styles of the repertoire of Classic Broadway, the Great American Songbook, and Pop/Rock from the 70s, 80s, and 90s.
We are offering It's a Grand Night for Singing! this fall on Thursdays, starting 10/15, at 6:15 pm.

In the mid-1960s, the British Invasion marked a cultural phenomenon that became a defining moment in the evolution of modern music and youth identity. This movement saw a wave of British rock and pop bands, most notably The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, The Who, and The Kinks, captivate American audiences and reshape the global musical landscape. Rooted in American blues, R&B, and rock and roll, these artists blended their influences with homegrown styles like skiffle and Merseybeat to create a fresh, electrifying sound. The British Invasion not only revolutionized American music but also left a lasting imprint on fashion, attitudes, and the rising counterculture of the era. Explore the music, cultural shifts, and iconic figures that defined this transatlantic wave and consider its deeper impact and enduring legacy in popular culture.

Ready to make music, share a laugh (or several), and strum your way to happiness? This beginner-friendly ukulele class is designed especially for adults looking to try something new, have fun, and perhaps even unleash their inner rock star — or at least a very enthusiastic campfire singer. Over six laid-back weeks, you’ll learn to strum, play basic chords, keep a steady rhythm, and sing songs that speak to you. The only prerequisites: a fun-loving spirit and a song you can physically sing (yes, that one you belt out in the shower counts). Bring one song idea to class, and we’ll take care of the rest. This class is structured for beginners and will go at a relaxed pace with plenty of musical “aha!” moments and good-natured laughs along the way. Come as you are, leave with a smile, and maybe even a few new friends. Warning: Spontaneous humming and toe-tapping may occur. Ukuleles will be provided for class use.
We are offering Ukulele for Beginners: Learn, Play, Enjoy this fall on Tuesdays, starting 11/10, at 6:45 pm.
