ChatGPT and other generative AI (Artificial Intelligence) tools are becoming household names. But what exactly are they, and what are they used for? Did you know these chatbots can create images from word prompts, write letters, explain complex topics, write jokes, and much more? How do you access and use these powerful tools? For many, AI can be intimidating. However, it can also be an extremely useful tool. This workshop is designed to be beginner-friendly and will cover how generative AI works and the basics of ChatGPT and other AI tools. It will also provide practical examples of how you might use AI in your daily life.

Come explore the evolution of the styles of two of the most famous and influential artists of the 20th century. Matisse was the colorist; Picasso, the master of form and line. Fauvism (“Wild Beast”) or Cubism—two groundbreaking artistic movements--how did each play out? Both of these extraordinary creators made their homes in Paris first, then the South of France. Which one do you relate to? There is no wrong answer!

Perfection Reimagined: Embracing the New Gardening Ethos What makes a garden beautiful? This age-old question is evoking new answers as gardeners everywhere deal with shifting realities, from extreme weather to crashing populations of pollinators and birds. It can be overwhelming. Yet, embracing these challenges can allow us all to be active agents of positive change. Leslie Needham will share her healthy garden practices and design principles, illustrated with images of her many projects, including her own garden – River Hills.

Presentations will be followed by audience Q&A.

This course is designed for beginners and will explore how to create an account with Canva and use its simple tools to create invitations, posters, fliers, and anything else you can dream up.
