Professional Certificate in Sustainability Reporting

Sustainability reporting skills will be a value added for companies and organizations as sustainability reporting becomes required for federal contracts, through the SEC, and various state and global laws. Nearly 80% of the world’s largest companies use the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) to measure their sustainability impact.  In line with these metrics, The RISE Center at Coastal Carolina University is offering a fall course that provides professional certification in Global Reporting Initiative standards for Sustainability Performance reporting, as well as training on the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) reporting framework and its alignment with the ISO 14001 Environmental Management standards.  Combined, the GRI, CDP, and ISO, aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals, cover many of the sustainability reporting needs for large and small/medium corporations (SMEs), as well as nonprofit and educational institutions.  This videoconference class will provide workforce development skills and professional certification through the CCU RISE Center and the Office of Continuing Studies.
