Sustainability reporting skills are a value added for companies and organizations as sustainability reporting requirements continue for federal contracts, and various state and global laws. The Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) is the most broadly used framework by over 80% of companies worldwide to measure their sustainability impact. In line with these metrics, The RISE Center at Coastal Carolina University is offering a fall course that provides
professional certification in Global Reporting Initiative standards for Sustainability Performance reporting, as well as training on the
Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) reporting framework. Combined, the GRI and CDP, aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals, cover many of the sustainability reporting needs for large and small/medium corporations (SMEs), as well as nonprofit and educational institutions. This videoconference class will provide workforce development skills and professional certification through the CCU RISE Center and the Office of Continuing Education.
