The BLS for Healthcare Providers Classroom Course is designed to provide a wide variety of healthcare professionals the ability to recognize several life-threatening emergencies, provide CPR, use an AED and relieve choking in a safe, timely and effective manner.
Participants complete the cognitive and skill evaluation in accordance with the curriculum of the American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Providers. They work with manikins to practice and perfect skills.

This program is intended for students who want to prepare for an exciting, challenging, and rewarding career in healthcare. This program will train students to assist physicians by performing functions related to the clinical responsibilities of a medical office. Instruction includes, among other things, preparing patients for examination and treatment, routine labortory procedured, diagnostic testing, technical aspects of phlebotomy, and the cardiac life cycle. Students will review important topics, including phlebotomy, pharmacology, the proper lead placements, professional workplace behavior, ethics, and the legal aspects of healthcare. This program includes 140 hours of classroom lecture and hands-on labs. Tuition includes study materials, clinical time, and certification exam
Clinical Externship: Optional for students who complete the 140-hour program and pass backgroud check, drug screening, and other requirements.

This program prepares students for a rewarding career in healthcare by training them to assist physicians in a medical office setting. Students learn clinical and administrative skills, including preparation, phlebotomy, diagnostic testing, vital signs, cardiology basics (including lead placement), pharmacology, EKG training, and professional workplace practices. The program includes 140 hours of classroom instruction and lab work, with an optional clinical externship at a healthcare provider upon completion. Eligibility for the externship requires successful program completion, a background check, a drug screen, and meeting additional requirements.
Note: Upon successful completion of this program, students will be eligible to sit for the National Healthcare Association (NHA) Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) national examination & EKG Technician (CET) certification.

Phlebotomy Technician Program *Contact List*

This program prepares students for a career in healthcare by providing hands-on and classroom instruction in phlebotomy. Students learn venipuncture techniques, proper specimen collection, patient interaction, safety procedures, and professional workplace practices. The program includes 48 hours of classroom instruction over six weeks, followed by 72 hours of clinical experience at a health care provider.
Upon completion, students will be eligible to sit for the National Healthcare Association (NHA) Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) exam. Eligibility for the clinical component requires successful program completion, a TB test, basic immunizations, a background check, drug screening, and personal professional liability insurance.
