Dyersburg State Community College will offer a short-term, non-credit Supervisory Management Certificate this fall through its Department of Workforce Development. This program is designed for current managers or those aspiring to move into leadership roles within the West Tennessee region.
The coursework focuses on high-impact supervisory management skills that can be applied immediately in professional settings across retail, office, manufacturing, nonprofit, and hospitality.You will learn about different management styles, effective communication and feedback, goal setting, and emotional intelligence. You will also identify and develop your personal leadership style, learn how to motivate diverse workforces and make ethical business decisions, and improve your time management. Learners will receive a certificate of completion from DSCC upon completion of the coursework.
Class sessions will be held in person on the Dyersburg campus on September 28, October 26, and November 16. Session times are 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.The course fee is $1,499. Lunch will be provided each day.
