Drawing is the fundamental basis of all visual art, and it can provide a lifetime of enjoyment. In Drawing 1, you’ll use your imagination, creativity, and perception through the art of drawing. In this class, you’ll learn the fundamentals of drawing: 3-dimensionality, light, shadow, proportions, details, and perspective. You’ll learn how to draw many subjects, including animals, nature, people, and still life. You’ll be surprised at how quickly your skills develop as you observe and draw along with step-by-step class presentations, which make it easy to understand and apply these techniques in practice. Once you learn these skills, you’ll find them becoming second nature, and you’ll significantly increase your creativity and your ability to represent the world around you.

Animals are a fascinating part of our world. In this class, you'll learn to draw the intriguing world of animals in black and white and color with pencil, pen, and markers. This class is for anyone fascinated by animal life and interested in learning more about drawing them.
Possible subjects include: mammals, birds, reptiles, fish, insects, crustaceans, mollusks, and more. You’ll also learn about form and function, anatomy, highlights, shadows, details, proportions, three-dimensionality, value, contrast, and color.
These principles of drawing will help you learn to depict animals in a variety of ways, and you'll learn to produce vibrant, exciting, realistic works of animal art in this exciting new class!

Acrylic Painting is a fun, wonderful, versatile paint medium that can provide a lifetime of enjoyment! In this class, you will learn how to express yourself in this colorful medium. You’ll learn the techniques of acrylic painting, including blending, texturizing, brush handling, detailing, stippling, dabbing, glazing, wet-on-wet, and dry brushing. You’ll also learn about color mixing, complementary colors, warm and cool, hue, value, intensity, and proportions. You will be surprised at how quickly your skills improve by observing and painting along with step-by-step class presentations, which make it easy to understand and put these techniques into practice. Once you learn these skills, you’ll find them becoming second nature, and you’ll greatly increase your ability to paint the world around you.
