
This Chair Yoga course will be taught seated in a chair and standing using the chair for support. Students will learn and practice yoga postures and movements, breathing techniques and other yoga practices to help develop strength and endurance, improve posture and flexibility, and promote relaxation. Every class will have a specific focus, bring something new and build on previous practices. Each class will begin and end with a guided breath practice or meditation. REQUIREMENT: Participants should be in good general health. An individual can choose to stay seated in the chair during class. If choosing to follow the standing movements, a participant should be able to move safely from seated to standing using the chair for support. Class size limit: 15.
