Introduction to Intuitive Eating (Wednesdays, 2:30pm-4:30pm ET)   

This course is not your basic nutrition course (that will be coming soon in an upcoming term). Instead it is a course about learning to have a better relationship with food and your body. Intuitive Eating is an evidence-based, non-diet, mind-body health approach based on 10 principles. In today’s diet-obsessed, weight-focused culture the simple act of feeding ourselves has become overwhelming for many. In this course you will learn a different, more peaceful approach to eating and food, one where YOU are the expert of your health and your body. We will discuss these core principles of Intuitive Eating in detail, and through lectures and experiential learning you will learn practical ways to integrate the principles into your life, ultimately giving you the tools to begin to have a more peaceful and sane relationship with food and your body. Class size limit: 150.
