The Earth’s volcanoes will be erupting this fall as we fracture your curiosities and repel any uncertainties. This course is an introductory level of volcanology, which will explore the world’s amazing living mountains. Climb with me to new heights as we discuss the life cycle, anatomy and classification of the world’s most famous volcanoes. Learn about the pros and cons to living under one of these living mountains and how cultures thrive and pay homage to these fire gods. Case studies of the world’s most active and deadliest volcanoes will be flowing over this fall. We will also discuss human impacts on volcanoes and how our futures may be interwoven. Class size limit: 150.
