French for Travel (Thursdays, 4:00pm-6:00pm ET)

This course will teach you all of the basic language skills needed to navigate travel or stays in the French-speaking world. I will provide cultural notes alongside vocabulary and common phrases and expressions needed to navigate French territory from a regional perspective. Video, film and travel narrative will enhance students’ cultural learning experience. Ideal for virtual or actual travelers or those expecting to spend months or a year abroad once things open up safely. We will also travel virtually to vineyards, cheese-makers, and other sites of artisanal interest, along with well-known and hidden gems within the French/francophone landscape. A non-intimidating approach is promised. Class size limit: 20.
