Epigenetics (Wednesdays, 11:30am-1:30pm)    NEW!

DNA, the genetic code, is regarded as the blueprint of life. This notion lies at the heart of the central dogma of modern molecular biology: "DNA makes RNA makes Protein." We now know that there is a code on top of this genetic code, and EPI-genetic code. In this course, we will explore examples of genome regulation that broaden the central dogma. Critical thinking and interactive discussion will be emphasized. The course will be based on introductory popular literature, and primary scientific literature, focusing on both classical and contemporary approaches and findings.

Maximum Class Size: 110.
