Yoga for Life: Chair Yoga (Tuesdays, 2:00pm-3:00pm)  

Yoga is a wonderful practice that can be done throughout life. Hatha yoga, sometimes called the yoga of physical well-being, helps develop and maintain strength, flexibility and balance. Mindful yoga practice can help improve focus and concentration and reduce stress. Chair yoga includes yoga postures and breathing practice, done seated in chairs and standing while using chairs for support. The course will teach a variety of postures, or asanas, and different types of breath practice. Use of props will be integrated into the course, as well as ideas for home practice. Class size limit: 20.

REQUIREMENT: Students should be comfortable getting up and down from a chair and be able to walk from the parking lot in front of the building, down a short hallway into the studio.
