This class will focus on the familiar topic of resilience, which most of us feel like we understand when we see it in others or experience it for ourselves. But how do researchers measure resilience to know if and how it helps us thrive? We will discuss the evolving science of resilience and research on when, how, and for whom this resource works to support healthy and purposeful aging.

Participants will gain understanding of how each dimension of the wellness wheel influences the other and contributes to overall quality of life. Through a blend of lecture and interactive activities learners will explore their current wellness patterns and identify opportunities for meaningful growth. The course will center around practical strategies to help participants grow their personal wellness practices.

Students will learn and explore elemental yoga poses sitting in chairs and standing using chairs for balance. The focus will be on learning to adjust movements and poses to meet individual needs and abilities. Each 3-week session can be taken separately or join both for more practice and continuity.
