Clubs   

Clubs are important benefits that provide an opportunity to join with other OLLI members who share similar interests. For more information about any of our clubs contact the club coordinator or visit the OLLI website. Clubs are listed alphabetically.

IMPORTANT!  Each and every semester members must follow the process shown below to register for all clubs.
Step 1: Register online for each club you desire, as you would for a class.
Step 2: Then email each club coordinator and request to be added to their email distribution list to receive pertinent information and if applicable, a Zoom link.
  • Club Español

  • The OLLI Spanish Club meets for conversation practice every Friday, 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Contact Laura Morris for location.  OLLI members, either those enrolled in an OLLI Spanish class or those who wish to boost their conversation skills are welcome to join. We plan to enjoy lunch together at a Hispanic restaurant one Friday a month. Contact Laura Morris  startrek1330@gmail.com. 
 

  • French Club
  • Join our new French Club! We meet Fridays from 12:00 noon to 1:00 p.m. at the Alliance Française of Tallahassee 541 East Tennessee St. Feel free to bring your lunch, and enjoy refreshments provided by Maggie.   • Men’s Group

  • We meet every two weeks on Fridays from 11:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. at the Tallahassee Fish House and Oyster Bar. We discuss issues and challenges faced by older men, share knowledge and expertise on a range of topics, and socialize in an informal environment. Responsibility for facilitating discussions is generally rotated among the participating members. Contact Frank Alarcon at alarconfj@yahoo.com.
 

  • Monday Book Club

  • The Monday Book Club meets the second Monday of each month, September through June, from 11:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. ET. Location: Sunshine Health in the Town South Shopping Center, 2525 S. Monroe St. Members may also attend our meetings via Zoom. All OLLI members are welcome! Contact Lori Gormin lgormin@fsu.edu

  • Photography Club

  • This club is dedicated to nurturing a passion for photography with cell phones and/or digital cameras. Enjoy monthly meetings where club members can share knowledge, critique each other’s work, and enhance their photography skills together. We organize monthly photo field trips, providing opportunities for members to practice their craft in diverse settings while enjoying social interaction.   • Travel Club

  • The OLLI Travel Club gives you the opportunity to enjoy the best our world has to offer at affordable prices. We meet to share information about planned trips for those interested in those trips. Information about our meetings will be sent to those on the Travel Club email list. Travel information can also be found at olli.fsu.edu. You don’t need to be a member of OLLI to join the Travel Club; however, you do need to be a member should you choose to travel with OLLI. To be added to the Travel Club email list, or to continue receiving emails, contact Harriet and George Waas at waas01@comcast.net.
 

  • Walking Club

  • Join other OLLI members on various trails around Tallahassee. Pick your group based on your pace and type of walking surface: even-paced (mostly on paved surfaces), or more challenging (somewhat rugged trails). Several times each week we meet at specified locations noted in our email. Benefit from two keys to longevity – social connections and physical exercise.   • Wednesday Book Club

  • The Wednesday Book Club meets the second Wednesday of each month, September through June, from 3:15 – 4:45 p.m. Location: Pool House Westminster Oaks. Contact Susan Barnes at ollibookclub@gmail.com

  • Wednesdays with OLLI

  • OLLI members and friends gather weekly over drinks and dinner at various restaurants in town. You will receive a weekly email with the dinner locations and times. Non-members are welcome to attend! Contact Denise or Renae at gethappyolli@gmail.com.
