    See the research and restoration hatchery, lab building, teaching spaces and more on the LAB Tour. (The tour is accessible for anyone and takes approximately 1 hour.)   • Panhandle Pioneer Settlement

    Immerse in history! The settlement brings together the history of life in the Florida Panhandle from the 1820s to the 1940s. The guided tour will lead us through 18 historical buildings originally located throughout the region. Lunch after the tour at Parramore’s Seafood restaurant in Blountstown (self pay). Carpool arrangements for those registered. NOTE: Blountstown is on Central Time; our tour begins at 10:00 AM Eastern Time.

  • Play of Sunlight Mushroom Farm Tour

    Founded in 2014, this specialty mushroom growing farm sells its highly sought after product regionally, including to restaurants in North and Central Florida. We will tour the whole operation from beginning to end, including access to the grow rooms. Opportunity is available to purchase fresh mushrooms and merchandise. Get deep into the weeds of mushroom growing! Participants must wear closed toed shoes and be able to stand for the two hour tour.

  • Tallahassee Community Chorus Spring Concert: Songs Of The Sea

    Celebrate our eternal relationship with the sea with two British masterworks. Ralph Vaughan William's monumental "A Sea Symphony" combines Walt Whitman's transcendent poetry with sweeping orchestral and choral forces, while Charles V. Stanford's "Songs of the Sea" offers intimate portraits of maritime life. Distinguished FSU faculty soloists Marcy Stonikas, soprano, and André Chiang, baritone, will bring their artistry to these evocative works that capture everything from gentle tidal rhythms to the seas' awesome power.

Our trail guide, Bob Bass, will share his wealth of knowledge about the park's development, the identification of  trees, the geology of the headwaters, and so much more! Be prepared for the weather.
