Book Lovers Unite! Bring a book plainly wrapped. It can be new or gently used. On the spine write the genre, (mystery, historical fiction, biography, etc.). On the front of the wrapping give a small synopsis without giving away too much of course and then a one or two line review. We will do a peruse of the books then do an exchange, similar to Dirty Santa. Bring food to share and your favorite beverage to enjoy as we find new reading treasures.

Tour with the museum curator! Explore three galleries: 1) mixed media exhibition from Bachelor of Fine Arts students at FSU; 2) Art and Our Environment by five prominent Florida artists and 3) an exhibit byJulie Torres: Generations, featuring "woven screen prints" and "paper quilts". Carpooling and lunch in Quincy will be arranged with registrants.

FSU Opera presents "Muhly's Dark Sisters, a gripping contemporary woman's fight to escape a polygamist sect. Inspired by true events, Muhly's opera is a stark portrayal of coercion, faith, and the painful pursuit of autonomy. (English with subtitles)

Open to the public, the Feastival is a joyful afternoon filled with fresh flavors, family-friendly activities, a tomato contest, local vendors, beer garden, and creative bites inspired by the summer harvest. Proceeds from the Feastival support the Red Hills Small Farm Alliance’s work all year long—strengthening local farms, connecting producers and consumers, and growing community through local food.

Volunteer to feed our neighbors. Volunteer to work a shift at Second Harvest, the local facility that coordinates the collection and distribution of healthy food for neighbors facing hunger and food insecurity throughout our 16-county Big Bend service area. Be prepared to stand, bend. There will be light lifting. We will be inside. Wear comfortable clothes suitable for the weather.

Design and assemble a unique suncatcher or plant stake using vibrant fusible glass in various colors and shapes. No experience needed. All materials provided.

The 2-hour DIY experience is $49 and includes all materials, instruction and watercolor set. BRING favorite snack and drink to fuel your creativity!

Immerse in a "Walking" Midsummer Night's Dream! The live-oak groves of the Tallahassee Museum will transform into fairy-filled pathways for a truly immersive theatrical experience. Small audience clusters will wander a guided woodland trail, encountering Puck's pranks, Titania's enchanting court, and the Rude Mechanicals' comic capers beneath starlit clearing and moss-draped oaks. Zip lines will even carry our faeries through the treetops. This 120minute, no-intermission adventure is fully outdoors, fully immersive and full of surprises. IMPORTANT NOTES: This two-hour walking event is through uneven, unpaved wooded nature paths. Seating is extremely limited. Not recommended for members with mobility challenges or those who may struggle on outdoor trails.
