Hostos Community College Division of Continuing Education & Workforce Development is an OASAS Certified Education and Training Provider. This program provides a series of courses that meets the full 385 hour requirement defined in Part 853 (Credentialing of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselors) Regulations. The course will also include 2 classroom hours dedicated to improving English and vocabulary skills to ensure success in the field.
All course work/training offered in the CASAC Certificate Program has been approved by OASAS to satisfy the minimum 350 hour requirement for CASAC initial credentialing and/or renewal.
Internship opportunities are available for students that complete 210 CASAC educational hours.
