Carve, cook, and eat your way through a unique two-for-one experience: an introduction to traditional Swiss-style chip carving and the art of handmade pasta. Students will carve their own pasta-forming tools and then put them to work making oodles of noodles by hand. Plan on eating well, learning new skills, and going home with both fresh noodles and hand-carved tools of your own. Throughout the class, we'll alternate between carving, noodle forming, and meal preparation, creating a hands-on experience from start to finish. Each day, we'll enjoy a fabulous pasta lunch made with the tools and techniques we've learned. Please note that this class includes gluten, dairy, and some meats; we will not be covering gluten-free pasta. The materials fee includes carving wood, plentiful noodle-making ingredients, and three fantastic meals.
Youth ages 12+ are welcome to register with an adult. Adult/youth pairs will complete two projects and pay two materials fees. A 25% tuition discount applies to the youth registrant when registering with a full-paying adult; call to register.
