Revisit skills for creating yarn and for knitting design. Delve into color inspirations, spinning methods, wheel mechanics and use, plying ideas, and lessons in consistency. Explore facets of two garment designs to start, a North House Cap and The Crescent Shawl. Learn what to do with your spinning wheel and the yarn you have made. Martha will provide appropriate wools, dyed and undyed for student use, but this is also a time to bring unused items from your stash and make a plan!

- IF you can bring it, Spinning wheel in good working order. ( please let North House know if you need to borrow a school spinning wheel.
- Knitting needles; multiple sizes and lengths. Circular and Double Pointed…..Martha will also be bringing a handful and there is a local yarn store.
- Notebook and pencil
- Inspiring postcard or color combination photo
