Living with a New Heart    NEW!

In May 1991, author Ed Linz received a bolt-out-of-the-blue diagnosis of a rare heart disease, cardiac sarcoidosis, and, although he had no symptoms, was given two years to live. Three years later, on the brink of death, he received a life-saving heart transplant. In his presentation, he recounts the emotional roller coaster for him and his family, before, during, and for 30+ years following the transplant and lessons learned. He will also discuss steps a family can take to improve chances for survival upon receiving a difficult diagnosis.
