10418 Film in Latin America: Historical approaches to cinematographic productions - OLLI Scholar    NEW!

Using Latin American films as primary sources, the class will discuss the socio-historical importance of these productions in relation to contemporary issues. Topics explored through films such as Granito, How to Nail a Dictator (2011) from Guatemala and City of God (2002) from Brazil will include: human rights, race, immigration, and indigenous communities.
