10462 The Emigrants and The New Land (1971 and 1972)   NEW!

This 19th c. epic from Jan Troell charts a Swedish farming family’s voyage to America and their efforts to put down roots in this new world. Max Von Sydow and Liv Ullman portray the trials of Karl Oskar and Kristina. Troell depicts their story and that of countless others who have sought better lives in America. Films (over 3 hrs each) followed by discussion.
