10470: Art for the People: from Folk Art and Urban Planning to Modern Architecture - New   NEW!

Learn about the history, collection, architecture, and collaborations of the Weisman Art Museum and its role at the university in keeping and curating art for the people of Minnesota. From WAM’s extensive ceramics collection, learn about the Mingei movement in Japan to English folk art to the U’s own Warren MacKenzie. Follow the history of the Rondo neighborhood through the work of Rose and Melvin Smith. Look at how collaborations with local artists make connections between art and other areas of study and life.
