NEW 10536 Han Kang: Reading Korean Novels of Violence and Dignity
NEW!
Han Kang, 2016 Man Booker International Prize award winner, is one of the most representative Korean writers of our day. For this class, we will read and discuss two of her most acclaimed novels, The Vegetarian (2007) and Human Acts (2014). Han writes in beautiful language about violence and broken bodies, and develops her theory of violence and dignity in these works. Both books are sold for around $10 on Amazon.
