30674 Unraveling the Enigma: The Collapse of the USSR and the Rise of the New Russia   NEW!

This course begins with brief analysis of the fall of the USSR in 1991 and the emergence of the Russian Federation as the successor state of the USSR without the 14 former Republics. We’ll discuss major trends in the development of the government and economy of the Russian Federation since 1992, including women and society, Russian traditions of political leadership, Russian foreign policy, and a case study of Russian-American Relations.
