10720 Hamlet

Hamlet’s father dies, and his uncle marries his mother. Then the melancholy young Danish prince is visited by his father’s ghost, who tells him that he was murdered. Hamlet must work through his grief to get revenge for his father. One of the most famous plays in the English language receives its fifth staging at the Guthrie Theater, April 8–May 21. Discuss the play in advance of seeing the production and again afterwards.
