June 4: Longtime OLLI member and distinguished schoolteacher Sherrie Marcy thinks that Tyranny of the Minority: How to Reverse an Authoritarian Turn and Forge a Democracy for All by Steve Levitsky and Daniel Ziblatt is an important read in these tumultuous times.
June 11: Merrily Mazza, another long time OLLI member, will present Devil's Chessboard: Allen Dulles, the CIA, and the Rise of America's Secret Government by Salon founder, activist, and historian David Talbot. Mazza will be continuing the dialogue that started with her lecture on Edward Snowden's book during the Winter course.
June 18: Dr John Fredell will offer a review of a piece of lighter reading than is his usual fare: The Final Witness by Paul Landis. Landis, a Kennedy Secret Service agent, breaks his silence on the events of November 22, 1963, in Dallas.
June 25: Phil Fishman, immigration attorney and scholar, will be presenting Fallout by Lesley Blume, about the claimed cover-up of Hiroshima.
