Fancy Loom Beaded Bracelet: Port Angeles   

Contemporary Cherokee Artist Karen Sixkiller offers beading workshops in collaboration with ʔaʔk̓ʷustəƞáwt̓xʷ House of Learning, Peninsula College Longhouse. 

Learn how to make beautiful loom beaded bracelets using larger beads. Finish a project in one day of hands-on instruction. Materials are provided. Appropriate for adults and youth 12+ with parent/guardian also enrolled. 

Student Learning Outcomes: Students will be able to prepare a bead loom for beading and learn how to add beads to a loomed project. They will learn about needed supplies and how to use a bead pattern to create loom beaded projects with hands-on help. They will also learn how to finish and add a binding, clasp and jump rings for a professionally finished final product.

    Create a beautiful bracelet in this 4-hour workshop using provided Amethyst, rose quartz, and crackle glass beads to make this timeless design.

    Basic beading supplies, bead looms, a pattern, and hands-on instructions are provided. A variety of beads will be provided for students to create at least one bracelet. Students should bring a refillable water bottle and lunch or a snack.
