Summer Youth Camps   

Discover the hidden wonders of the natural world in our Youth Summer STEM Camp! Through hands-on experiments with microscopes, outdoor explorations, and rock and mineral investigations, campers (ages 10-15) will dive into the fascinating worlds of biology, environmental science, and geology. Get ready for an adventure filled with discovery, curiosity, and a closer look at the science all around us! Camps include breaks for outdoor play.

Take the next step beyond simply “playing” Minecraft and become a true Redstone engineer. Expand your Redstone knowledge by constructing your own carnival with a variety of mini-games, roller coasters, and attractions powered by Redstone. Learn how to use Command and Structure blocks to incorporate them into your builds. Activate your skills and take your Minecraft structures to the next level! Students will work in pairs or teams for most of the program. Camps include breaks for outdoor play.

Little Artists Summer Camp is the perfect place for young creators (ages 5-8) to explore, imagine, and get hands-on with art! From painting colorful masterpieces to molding clay into fun shapes, kids will experiment with a variety of materials in a playful and supportive environment. Get ready for a summer of creativity, self-expression, and a little bit of messy fun! Camps include breaks for outdoor play.

Learn to create stop-motion animation using your own action figures, LEGOs and more! Create a storyboard for your vision, capture scenes using our DSLR cameras or your own tablet/camera, and watch your vision come to life as a digital masterpiece complete with sound effects and music! Students will learn video production, editing and more. Camps include breaks for outdoor play.
 

Watch as the characters in your imagination come to life in this unique course that blends classic storytelling with animation techniques and coding. Start with a concept, design the characters, and choose not just one ending, but many! Learn how to create your own text-based adventure games with variables, conditional logic, images, HTML, CSS, and Twine scripting syntax. Student projects will be available on a password-protected Black Rocket website to share with friends and family. Students will work in pairs or teams for most of the program. Unlock the power of ROBLOX ® Studio, the world creation tool used by real-world ROBLOX ® developers! Learn how to build 3D models and create an adventure in your ROBLOX ® world. Bring characters to life with unique animations you design. Student-created projects will be available on a password-protected Black Rocket website to share with friends and family. With the world’s increased reliance on digital data, cyber security is more important than ever! In this class, you are all that stands between a group of international hackers launching cyber attacks and world peace. Through a series of challenges, students will learn to apply tools used by professional digital forensics teams to crack codes and use encryption. Working in teams you will collect clues, recover lost data, and explore the tools of the trade to become the next great cyber spy! Students will work in pairs or teams for most of the program. Step into the spotlight at the Summer Cinema and Theater Academy! Young filmmakers (ages 10-17) will take on the roles of actors, writers, and directors in this hands-on workshop, bringing their creative visions to life on screen. From scriptwriting and scene production to acting and filming, this immersive experience is perfect for anyone ready to tell a story through the magic of cinema! Camps include breaks for outdoor play.
