Do you want to try playing Caribbean Steelpan (steel drums)? Now you can! In this 3-day, hands-on class series, participants will learn about and experience playing various types of Steelpans. We will learn Caribbean styles & rhythms, some basic music theory and even start learning a song! Steelpans, the national instrument of Trinidad & Tobago, were invented by an ingenious and determined youth culture out of recycled 55 gallon oil barrels. This instrument has become the unmistakable soundtrack of the Caribbean.

This program combines artificial intelligence with coding to create an unforgettable learning adventure. In this course, students will develop game-play skills and compete using Black Rocket’s Esports games and apps, learn how to produce commentary for live tournaments, use professional streaming software, and most importantly practice online safety.
