Study jazz styles through performance of jazz literature. Emphasis on development of jazz interpretation and improvisational skills and techniques. Nine weekly rehearsals and one required concert.
Course is contingent upon availability of qualified students. Students must have prior experience playing in a jazz ensemble at the high school level or better. Instructor permission required.

What To Expect:
Community Ed (CE) courses are not credit bearing. CE students will not get a final grade or credit for this class.
Students may take this class for credit as a general elective by enrolling in MUSC260-Special Projects for 2 credits. Students enrolled in MUSC260-Special Projects will earn a final grade and college credit. Instructor permission and a short audition is required.
