Wet Felting with Wool - Make a Scarf

You don't have to be an artist to make something great! Wet Felting is limited only by your imagination. In three hours, you'll learn the techniques of wet felting with wool blended with other fibers to create a felted scarf from start to finish. Once you've completed the class, you can use the technique to create longer or shorter scarves, table runners, placemats or trivets of all and sizes -- only limited by our imagination. Explore the magic of creating with felt.

In this class you will learn how to make felt with wool, soap, water and a bit of agitation. We will discuss the felting process and what materials will felt, how to lay out and shrink fibers and form a shape. You will end up with a reversible scarf that will be 3 to 3.5 feet long. Be prepared to have your hands in warm soapy water during the class.

Open to students 10 years of age and older with an adult. Students may want to bring an apron. All other materials are provided.
