Yoga Nidra, also called "yogic sleep", is similar to a guided meditation but is a tool used to lead one toward their unconscious, and is believed to improve stress management, memory, and attention. This experience is designed to prime participants for the shift from the long, sunny days of summer to the chilly, darkness of winter while encouraging them to explore and embrace the figurative and literal changes that accompany seasonal transitions.
The practice will begin with a gentle yoga flow to help release extra energy and tension in the body, followed by a long, relaxing guided yoga nidra.
Participants should dress in comfortable layered clothing they can move freely in. A limited number of yoga mats and props are available to borrow, so you're encouraged to bring your own if you have them.
