This in-depth course is designed to teach you everything you need to know to turn your card-making passion into the start of a business. You will gain key insights into what goes into making greeting cards from start to finish, some current resources for the greeting card market, how to effectively promote your cards, and how to navigate the world of wholesale and retail sales. Next, you will learn about the key elements of marketing and promotion, including how to create a brand identity, how to use social media and other digital platforms to reach your target audience, and how to build relationships with retailers, representative companies, and other potential customers. The course will also cover the basics of wholesale and retail sales, including how to price and package your cards and how to approach retailers and other potential buyers. Throughout the course, you will have the opportunity to work on your own card designs and receive feedback and guidance from the instructor. You will also have access to a community of fellow students to offer support, and network. Upon completion of the course, you will have the tools, knowledge, and confidence to start your own unique greeting card business.

Advanced Screenwriting is a continuation for students from either the Port Angeles (Winter) or Port Townsend (Fall) Beginning Screenwriting classes to advance their scripts. It is also open to any folks with screenwriting experience who want to further develop their skills and/or a specific script. Along with providing a supportive "writer's room" environment, the class will dig deeper into scene structure, developing credible dialogue, re-writing, and preparing your project for professional applications: festivals, the entertainment industry, actual production.
Please note, no class the week of May 15.

What gods did they worship? The ancient Germans were at times migrants, at others conquers and the conquered, which brought them into contact with the Roman world and reshaped Western Europe and the Mediterranean.
