Are you interested in creating fun and whimsical items using needles and wool? Or perhaps you already have some experience with needle felting and want to expand your skills? These workshops will teach you the basic techniques of needle felting and the different types of wool and tools used in the process. No prior experience is necessary, and all supplies will be provided.
Open to students 12 years and older if accompanied by an adult guardian also enrolled in the class. All classes are held on the Port Townsend Campus.

Our ceramics courses are designed for students from all levels- from the absolute beginner to experienced potters and sculptors. Classes are held in our beautiful, fully equipped studio. Eighteen potter's wheels, a slab roller, canvas covered work tables , ample storage space and the use of studio tools as well as clay, glaze, and firings are all included in the course fee. All that is missing is you!
Please do not bring in any outside clay or glazes as they may not be compatible with our ceramic studio materials. Classes may include students from multiple sessions.
The potter's wheel allows you to quickly and efficiently create pots of uniform shape, size, and thickness. The wheel is a tool that helps the artist make aesthetic decisions based on the mechanical steps of operation. There are two beginner forms to master on the potter's wheel, and from those, anything can be made and altered into shape: the cylinder & the bowl. In this class students will receive one on one instruction and encouragement for a hands-on experience to learn the aspects of wheel thrown pottery.
Open to students ages 16 and up.

Advanced Screenwriting is a continuation for students from the "Beginning Screenwriting" classes to advance their scripts. It is also open to any folks with screenwriting experience who want to further develop their skills and/or a specific script. Along with providing a supportive "writer's room" environment, the class will dig deeper into scene structure, developing credible dialogue, re-writing, and preparing your project for professional applications: festivals, the entertainment industry, actual production.

This course provides an overview of ceramic processes from hand building techniques, including pinch, coil, and slab construction to wheel throwing or forming pots on the potter’s wheel. In this mixed-level class, the instructor provides support for beginners as well as experienced potters and sculptors by catering demonstrations to students’ independent clay projects and interests. Bring photos, sketches, and ideas of the dream project you wish to create in clay.

If you can learn to sew a straight line, you can learn to quilt! If you have ever wanted to make a quilt and had no idea where to start, this is the class for you!
Quilting class is hands-on, and students will learn by doing. Beginning students will learn the process of making a quilt and will design and make a lap-size quilt using the pattern Disappearing 9-Patch. Intermediate and advanced quilters will be provided with project options. Students are responsible for purchasing and bringing their own supplies. Click here for Supply List.
You will learn basic color theory, how to select fabrics, measuring with flat rulers, rotary cutting, piecing, basting, quilting, binding, and labeling. Students will be provided with quilt patterns to choose from. More experienced students can come for support and may work on projects of their choosing.
