Using watercolor and pencil, you'll learn simple techniques to sketch and paint what you observe - starting with photo references before heading outdoors to practice in real time. The lush College Campus provides the perfect setting to explore plants, trees, landscapes, and seasonal changes with curiosity and creativity. This class is ideal for travelers, backyard naturalists, or anyone who loves to draw closer to nature.

Beginner-friendly, hands-on class introduces basic techniques of quilting and is excellent for people with little to no prior sewing experience. Students will learn the process of fabric selection and preparation, accurate measuring and rotary cutting, and piecing using their own sewing machine. The course will cover the essential steps to create a lap-size quilt, while providing a solid foundation for future quilting adventures. All levels of experience are welcome. Open to adults and students ages 16+.

Learn the versatile Brick-Stitch bead weaving method while creating a unique pair of earrings in this hands-on workshop with experienced instructor and Cherokee artist Karen Sixkiller. First learn the basics of Brick-Stitch on large Pony beads, then start your project with standard size 11 seed beads. Finish with a jump ring and earring hooks.

Zines are hand-made easy to photocopy mini booklets. They have historically been a way for marginalized groups to create stories and publish art and ideas. This class will show you how to make your own while providing accessible ways to get your artistic voice heard.
In this class we will create zines based on a theme utilizing one 8.5x11 piece of printer paper divided into eighths and a variety of multi-media mediums (collage, pens, pencils etc.) We will then demonstrate how to scan and prepare your zines for mass printing.
Student Learning Outcomes:
Students will be able to fold, create and prepare zines for distribution.
