It is easy to participate in your online course. After you register, you will be given a web address to go to get into your online classroom. You will have a password and use your email address and password to gain access. Once inside the online classroom, here's what you can expect.
Is all the content delivered online?
Yes, all of the course material will be uploaded into the classroom. All units are posted from day one and instructors log in multiple times each week to provide guidance, answer questions, and drive the discussion.
Is there a set time students must be online?
No. Our courses are asynchronous, meaning students may login to the classroom anytime, day or night, 24/7. There will be no live chats, nor live discussion.
Are the lessons released all at once allowing students to work through the content at their own pace?
Yes. Students will have access to all material in the classroom at the start of the course. The ‘Welcome Page’ (first page students will see after logging into the classroom) will change each Monday, at the start of a new Unit. It is suggested that the student follow each Unit in the classroom for maximum learning.
What are the completion requirements for your courses?
Unless otherwise specified, these are the completion requirements if you’re taking our courses and Certificates for recognition (CEUs/ILUs, Certificate of completion):
1. Make at least one comment every week in the discussion.
2. Take every unit self-quiz.
3. Students may retake any self-quiz as often as they need to get to the 80% level.
Is there a final exam?
There is no final exam, but there will be one Unit self-quiz each week. All Unit quizzes will be online, and students may re-take any self-quiz as often as they need to reach the 80% level.
How do students log in to the classroom?
An invitation into the classroom will be emailed to each student the Thursday before the course begins. That invitation will arrive from the email address: teacher@ugotclass.org. Students accept the invitation, and from there they will be able to create a password. Their login will be their email address. Once students have created a login, their classroom will be listed in their student profile.
