  • Participants will realize the importance of pausing before moving and paying attention to how one moves, particularly when movement habits could (or are) manifesting as pain patterns during and/or after work time with a care receiver (some classic scenarios are lower back pain and shoulder pain).
  • Participants will deepen awareness of their own movement habits related to essential movements of working with a care receiver (examples: bending or leaning over, reaching forward).
  • Through the movement sequences experienced during the course, participants will construct enhanced capacity for re-organizing or changing movement patterns, which can contribute toward improved well-being, on and off the care-giving job.
