Stay loose as we paint lovely purple irises in watercolors using techniques like wet on wet, glazing, and negative space painting.

Three Water Scene Postcards

Learn quick and easy techniques for painting water in this one day, three hour watercolor workshop. We will use dry brushing, simple blends, and wet on wet to create a hazy river scene, evening lake, and a sailboat silhouette.

Fearless Watercolors: Painting Fun Level Two

Ramp up your knowledge of painting with watercolors the fearless way. Be inspired as you continue to learn and work with transparent watercolors. Watch Elise as she demonstrates a wide range of painting techniques and receive lots of individual creative support in this very special fearless painting with watercolors class. Study and practice methods like working wet into wet, dry brush and layering techniques as well as the artwork of the masters, like Andrew Wyeth or Winslow Homer. It is recommended that students have taken at least one beginning watercolor painting class prior.

Mosaics

Mosaic is the art of assembling small pieces of tile, broken glass or other materials into patterns and images. Ancient Romans covered their floors, walls and ceilings with this intricate and interesting art form, and it is used in everything from small artwork to large-scale public art pieces today. This course is designed for students who either have a working knowledge of mosaics or are comfortable following direction with support. Add mosaic to an existing structure or design a structure specifically for your mosaic.

Class Notes: Click here for a supply list containing information about supplies provided and items to bring with you. Students are encouraged to pack a lunch; a few stores are near if unable to pack a lunch and ordering online for delivery/pick up is another option.
