Fitness Form

For community members who are interested in taking ACT 2 fitness classes.

One ACT 2 fitness form is required to cover each academic year. If you have filled out your fitness form after July 1st, thank you! Please log in to see the "Add to Cart" buttons during open registration.

If you are new or haven't taken a fitness class yet in the 2025-2026 academic year (September 2025 - August 2026), please add this "Fitness Form" course to your cart.

We encourage new students to create an account first. Once you have an active account, add the "Fitness Form" course to your cart, click the "Back to Page" link and the "Add to Cart" button will be visible. The form will appear as part of the check out process.

Open Art: Mixed Media

This class is about bringing your ideas to life, finishing up old or new projects and having fun. Join me for demos in acrylic, watercolor, pastel, texture mediums and more. Learn about color and design, composition and how to apply these ideas to your current work in progress. Arrive with a picture, an idea, or a project that needs finishing or tweaking.

Pilates

A strong core and limber muscles are keys to maintaining a healthy and active lifestyle. Pilates helps you tone and strengthen your muscles, improve your posture, reduce lower back pain, and increase your flexibility and balance. All exercises are done standing or with a mat on the floor. Please bring a yoga mat. Fitness Level 2 3 4.

Strength and Stability for Better Balance

This class is designed to enhance posture, strength, and mobility for ease in movement. Learn how to be more mindful of the way you move your feet, transfer weight, and activate your core muscles throughout your day. Movement to different tempos and rhythms improves confidence in your coordination and overall balance. Strategies for fall prevention are discussed as well as pelvic floor exercises and limb stretches to do at home.

Tai Chi: Beginning Yang Style

This course is intended to introduce the students to the martial art of Tai Chi Ch'uan. Instruction will focus on the first fifteen movements of the form and the many benefits of its study. The benefits include improved Balance, Blood Pressure, Body Awareness, Deep Breathing, Stress Reduction, Flexibility, Muscle Strengthening, and Situational Awareness.
