Participants will learn how to care for their knives and use them in an efficient way. They will learn to sharpen knives and understand how to best hold an edge. During the class they will also learn to make a basic stir fry utilizing the knife cuts they produce.

This class is for those interested in receiving their Heartsaver® First Aid CPR AED certification.
The Heartsaver® course is designed to train participants to recognize and respond to first aid emergencies, how to call for help, and how to perform basic first aid and lifesaving skills.
This is a skills training course. Prior to this session, students must complete the Heartsaver® First AID CPR online portion for an additional fee of $19.50.
The online training must be completed before attending the in-person skills course. Please bring a copy of your completion certificate to class.

In this course you will learn to make hänchen-schnitzel (chicken), spätzle, braised red cabbage and baumkuchen (tree cake). These German inspired treats will be a great addition to your Oktoberfest celebrations. This class will be partly hands on and partly demonstration based.

In this class you and your partner will work together to make a delicious meal. The meal will consist of caraway roasted carrots with whipped feta cheese, grilled strip steak with smashed potatoes, roasted asparagus and a garlic butter, and for dessert, a bananas Foster over vanilla ice cream. While you enjoy your creations, you can relax with a glass of wine.

In this class you will each learn the basics of cookie production. Each participant will bake a different cookie to swap with each of the participants at the end of the class. While the cookies are cooling, you will enjoy a glass of homemade eggnog, spiked or not.

Learn how to create interesting, unique, and homemade appetizers. We will make puff pastry by hand and use it to make cranberry brie bites. We will also make homemade spanakopita triangles with phyllo dough, and lastly make a steak, blue cheese and caramelized onion crostini. We will also discuss what wines would be ideal for pairing with these appetizers.
