Hot Topics in Election Law

The law governing American elections is complex and frequently contested. This course will examine current issues in election law, with a special emphasis on the law governing presidential elections. Topics covered are likely to include the nuts and bolts of the electoral college process, the division of authority over election rules between different state, local and federal officials, and the history of disputed presidential elections in the United States.
