UGA's Meat Science Technology Center Tour   

The, MSTC, housed in the Animal & Dairy Science Department of the College of Agriculture & Environmental Sciences at UGA, is a fully functional, meat animal processing facility that is federally (USDA) inspected to ensure that all animals are treated with their welfare in mind and to ensure the wholesomeness of the meat products produced. The main purpose of the MSTC is to facilitate teaching, outreach, and research education in the areas of meat animal production, meat science, and muscle biology. This tour of the MSTC will show participants how the facility functions and how community members can purchase its meat products.
