The Anniston Freedom Rider National Monument comprises the original bus station and a mural and interpretive signage that commemorates the first attack on the 1961 Freedom Rides.
The Rides succeeded in forcing the federal government to ban segregation in interstate bus travel. At the Anniston Museum of Natural History, come face-to-face with prehistoric predators, go spelunking in a replica Alabama cave, stroll the African savanna, and visit Ptolemaic-era mummies.
The Berman Museum invites you to take a walk-through of history, honor our veterans, admire the arts of Asia, and discover the dangers of espionage.
