Funerals today have come a long way since our grandparents’ time, when the only option was direct burial into the church cemetery or family graveyard. While many of us have some experience of a loved one being buried or cremated, we now have more choices for body disposition than just burial—options that are more environmentally friendly. And nothing is more environmentally friendly than a green burial. Michele Skeele will help participants discover the options for body disposition currently in practice, and some that are still up and coming, to help with the very important task of planning ahead for our deaths. Planning for the inevitable is a tremendous gift to our families and communities.

A hands-on movement and manual techniques class with a short lecture. Lisa will show you how to flirt with your feet! Performed often and over time, the simple but profound movements and techniques you'll learn may improve not only the health of your feet but also the entire line of fascia that extends from the foot upward and over your head. In the class, plan to remove your shoes and work directly with the fascia of your feet. During the short lecture, we'll talk about walking and the foot's role in motion, trends in barefoot movement and wearing minimalist shoes, and how a greater connection to your feet may improve your balance.

- REGISTRATION FOR THIS CLASS IS CLOSED. This class is already in session.
David will briefly describe the history of health care’s development in our country and why it is so expensive today. In as simple a manner as possible he will define and explain the economic and policy complexities that drive health care. He will then bring it down to a practical level for attendees relative to health coverage choices, benefits, billing and payment, explanation of benefits, etc. He will close with alternative visions or scenarios for health care in our country as Baby Boomers age and providers are stretched to meet increasing requirements. David will sprinkle hope and positive vignettes into his sometimes grim, analytic perspective.
