Beyond Curry: Traditional and Modern Indian cooking
Indian cuisine is diverse, fresh and flavorful, and not very well understood in the U.S. In this lecture, Nupur will transport you to India with a slideshow featuring pictures and stories that illustrate seven aspects of Indian cooking, for instance, how Indian home cooking is different from Indian restaurant food, and what Indian cooking can bring to your own home kitchen. You will learn how to make a cup of authentic chai and enjoy your chai with a selection of snacks and sweets, just as you would if you were a guest in an Indian home.

Gina De Laurentiis has written, "The French and their food. They put each meal on a pedestal," so come to Lindsey's Culinary Market for a French repast of crepes, crepes, and more crepes. Chef Lindsey will demonstrate how to make crepes Suzette, as you enjoy appetizers of goat cheese and olive tapenade and smoked salmon with capers and creme fraiche. The entree of crepes includes that of chicken, mushroom, asparagus, and Gruyere cheese; beef burgundy and caramelized onions; and summer vegetables accompanied by a mixed green salad and a dessert of crepes Suzette.
