We end our series with Moonrise Kingdom. It's my favorite Wes Anderson film because it gives us the best of what I love about his films: twee set dressings, quaint locations, and quirky characters, as portrayed by his usual cast including Bill Murray, Edward Norton, Frances McDormand, and Tilda Swinton. Plot isn't an essential element in Wes Anderson films, but this one is a coming-of-age charmer, as two misfits find each other on a New England coastal island that isn't always the paradise they're looking for.
