During our time visiting the insect zoo, we'll meet species ranging from beetles to scorpions and tarantulas to roaches to leaf insects. Attendees can ask questions, handle insects, and explore the wonderful world of arthropods!

Just the word can inspire wonder or fear in people. Georgia snake species range in size from a broken spaghetti noodle to over eight feet in length, and we will take a closer look at the fascinating lives of these reptiles. Using live examples of both non-venomous and venomous native species, participants will learn about the natural hisss-tory of species found in the state.

Wild Pigs in Georgia: The Invasive Menace Costing Millions
Wild pigs (aka feral hogs, feral swine) are one of the world's top 100 invasive species. In the SE United States, they are responsible for hundreds of millions of dollars in damage to agriculture and native ecosystems. This class will discuss their ecological impact, damage, biology, and control.
