From 2017-2023, Eric Sponberg and Arliss Ryan sailed their 35’ sailboat Corroboree around the world. They crossed the Caribbean Sea and the South Pacific, Indian, and South Atlantic Oceans. Their adventures (and misadventures!) both at sea and on land include dodging hurricanes and lightning storms, sailing amidst tropical islands on beautiful days and along dangerous coasts on magical full-moon nights, exploring the Australian Outback and going on African safaris. In all, they sailed 32,000 miles and spent 438 days at sea. This talk is geared to a general audience and is entertaining, educational and upbeat. A Q&A session following the program welcomes every question you might have about sailing around the world and traveling overseas. Eric and Arliss created this program as a way to pay forward the many kindnesses they received from people along their route. Hop aboard and set sail!
